What To Expect at The Salt Oasis
Walking in to The Salt Oasis Kingsport, expect to be met with clean fresh air that is noticeably different. You will be greeted by a smiling face and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Many have said their stress melts away walking through our door. If it is your first visit with us, you will be asked to do a short bit of paperwork before proceeding to your session. You may be asked to enjoy yourself in our stunning salt gallery as we prepare your room.
Then you will be taken back through the tranquil hallway only lit by Himalayan lights to your session room. There you will find yourself at ease and overflowing with peace. We urge you to leave all your problems at the door and enjoy your session to the fullest. Afterwards, we always ask you take your time in getting up. Be sure to meander through our hall and refresh yourself with your choice of fruit infused or regular water. We know at this point you are relaxed and ready to take on the rest of your day (or take a nap).
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Please arrive 15 minutes early to each appointment.
Salt Room sessions begin on the hour, every hour and can not be interrupted once the session has begun. Sauna and Infrared Light sessions begin on the half hour and end exactly 30 minutes later.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Please wear comfortable clothing for the Salt Room and for Infrared Light treatment. If you have skin issues, you may want to wear something that exposes more skin in the Salt Room. Towels, bathing suits or comfortable clothing allowed in Sauna. Wraps and towels are provided but feel welcome to bring your own. *The Salt Room is at a temperature of 72 degrees.
HOW ABOUT MY SHOES?
Shoes are not to be worn in the Sauna or the Salt Room. We supply disposable booties for the Salt Room or WHITE socks can be worn. Please remember salt is antibacterial and antimicrobial. The rooms is very clean.
WHAT CAN I TAKE WITH ME IN THE SALT ROOM?
No purses, electronics of ANY kind or other personal items allowed in Salt Room (except a book). We have space for your shoes and a safe, locked area for your belongings; or you can leave them in your car. Also there are no food, drinks or gum allowed.
IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULDN'T DO BEFORE VISITING THE SALT OASIS?
DO NOT smoke two hours before any session. Do not wear any perfumes, colognes or fragranced lotion two hours before any session. Do not eat a big meal before any session.
Be sure to drink plenty of water before any session to get the maximum benefits.
